of our Company
Founded in 1984 by Merrill Stewart and Charles Perry,
Stewart Perry made its entry into construction via the
retail industry. Our first customer, a home improvement
warehouse concept, established its business and set
the pace for further work. Our next relationship, with
a national discounter, formed a successful foundation
from which we now enjoy a wide variety of customers
in the retail, commercial automotive, and warehouse
light industrial markets, and has led to us being licensed
in 18 states.
In 1997 the company recognized the need to provide a
civil management component to its building expertise.
This group was created to develop conceptual civil budget
estimates; to assist in the pre-construction services
of civil design; and to manage task civil contractors
for timely and quality execution of civil projects.
Within the last twenty four months,
the projects managed by Stewart Perry have, or will
have, moved in excess of 3,600,000 cubic yards of earth,
installed more than 33,000 linear feet of storm pipe,
54,000 linear feet of utilities, laid over 380,000 square
yards of paving and laid over 90,000 linear feet of
concrete curb.
Stewart Perry's experience has instilled the importance
of mutually beneficial working relationships with clients,
vendors and employees. It's imperative that we work
toward successfully establishing and building client
visions, while enjoying the process. We are proud of

torch by engaging the client in the process, building
with promises kept, and leading with their expertise
