an ABC "Excellence in Construction Award" in 1999 Project Description: This 56 year-old independent
school serves children pre-school thru the 8th grade.
Stewart Perry's services included reconstruction of the
grounds and civil infrastructure for the 12 acre campus.
The eight existing buildings were renovated and made ADA
compliant, and a new Learning Center was built to house
the Administrative area and the Library/Media Center.
Safety was paramount due to construction occurring during
the school year, and tasks, such as material deliveries
and demolition, were scheduled to accommodate student
arrivals and departures. Construction materials included
standing seam metal roof,
custom-finished aluminum storefront system, and compound
radiused beams that were fabricated freehand.
