Grundy Town Center

Grundy’s new Town Center is the culmination of years of planning to save the area from flooding.

Project Overview

Tucked away in the mountains of Virginia, our role in the relocation of the Grundy Town Center fulfilled the last stage of planning and partnerships representing years of work. For decades, the town had been plagued by flooding. The entire area needed to move to higher ground.

First, the Army Corps of Engineers carved a pathway in the side of a mountain. Then the Virginia Department of Transportation rerouted the highway. Then, we rebuilt this special town. We think this remarkable project is the prefect example of what can be accomplished when true partnering takes place alongside solid efforts.
