Rickwood Field, Birmingham, Alabama Owner: Friends of Rickwood Architect: Davis Architects Project Description: Rickwood Field, America's
oldest baseball park, was built in 1910. The structure
of the ballpark grandstand is constructed of cast-in-place
concrete which had become damaged and worn during its
93 years of service. Stewart Perry restored part of the
grandstand structure in 2002, and will complete the work
in 2003. As part of the renovation, one of the locker
rooms built under the grandstand will be restored to its
original condition. In support of the community and Friends
of Rickwood, and in admiration of the historic structure,
Stewart Perry is donating its management services.
